About this project

Our brief was to create a visually dynamic site for Denis the Menace Café that showcases their menu, location and café design. A number of design elements such as image accordions, call to action and animation were deployed to encourage interactivity with the site.

Content management functionality was required to enable the team to login and update existing content – especially frequently changing menus – themselves. The site was build on WordPress to achieve this objective.

eCommerce functionality was required to enable the secure sale of Denis the Menace’s coffee. This was achieved by deploying Shopify ‘buy buttons’ on the site. A Shopify account was created and products embedded into the Denis the Menace Café WordPress site. This gives the site all the positives offered by a fully hosted eCommerce platform whilst benefitting from the flexibility of WordPress for layout and design.

Integrated booking functionality was also required to enable customers to book their table quickly and easily online. Webhance configured a plugin that achieves this and also saves the Denis the Menace team time by automatically confirming bookings and sending out reminders.
