Kent + Lane
Shopify Development
Kent + Lane is a retailer of quality mens and womenswear based in Katoomba, NSW. They’ve provided a quality range in their Katoomba flagship store for over twenty years. During the Covid epidemic and lockdown they pivoted to online to continue providing service to local customers and expand their offering to customers Australia-wide.
About this project
Kent + Lane came to us with an outdated Shopify site that was unappealing, confusing to navigate and lacking functionality.
Our brief was to bring the website back to life.
We achieved this by implementing Shopify’s Icon theme and fully configuring it to make use of the many functionality improvements offered. We spent time creating dynamic layouts to ensure branding was on point and Kent + Lane’s unique offering showcased to full effect. We also optimised the site for conversion using a number of key elements as follows:
- a highly visual full width layout to showcase Kent + Lane’s products to best effect.
- dynamic product pages featuring large high impact imagery, sense of urgency with inventory low highlights, trust indicators with secure payment options highlighted, accordion layout displaying important information on shipping and returns and cross sell feature.
- a compelling homepage that welcomes the customer, offers trust signals with customer reviews and badges, and effectively leads the customer through the site.
- dynamic collection pages featuring size and colour availability.
- clear and targeted navigation that enables customers to review by collection and brand with minimal click rate to check out.
- Promo bar highlighting free shipping message.
- Instagram feed ensuring fresh relevant content is always highlighted on the home page.
- responsive layout so the site renders well on all screen sizes (phone, tablet, desktop)
