RDA Sydney is an Australian Government initiative that aims to support the NSW statewide RDA network to grow strong and confident regional economies that harness competitive advantages, seize economic opportunities, and attract investment.
About this project
Our brief was to create a visually dynamic and easy to use website that provides up to date information to all RDA Sydney stakehoders; including the NSW RDA network, 491 visa applicants and Greater Sydney councils. The ability for the team to manage content themselves post development was a requirement.
We met the brief by building the site on the WordPress content management system and structuring blogging functionality across a range of categories. This enables the team to create articles in real time that are automatically displayed according to news category – government, regional, local – as well as showcasing events, articles and submissions.
The site itself features a professional layout with information being clearly referenced by sections. Branding is consistent with RDA Sydney style guides, including colour palette and fonts. Animation elements have been coded to highlight key information to site visitors. Interactivity is also encouraged with a number of call to action elements and clickable images. The following elements were also coded:

Social Media integration via links and embedded Twitter feed
PayPal ‘buy now button’
Clickable map – map regions direct to respective region pages
The site is designed to be responsive, which means it renders well across all screen sizes – desktop, tablet and phones. We think this site ticks all the boxes!
